Health and Safety Stage 1 December

This two-day course provides health and safety representatives, committee members and others with an interest or responsibility for workplace health and safety with the necessary knowledge to fulfil their roles.

The course covers:
• Duties and rights under the Health and Safety at
   Work Act 2015 and Health and Safety Regulations.
• Development of Health and Safety Management
   systems – policies, processes, and procedures.
• Worker Engagement, participation, and
   representation.
• Risk and hazard management.
• Notifiable Events and rehabilitation.
• Useful resources – Codes of Practice, Guidelines.

Anticipated outcome is the ability to act as an effective health and safety representative, create greater worker engagement and participation with a more robust safety culture within your organisation.

• Others with an interest in, or responsibility for,
   workplace health and safety

This training covers all material required to complete Unit Standard 29315. The assessment fee to complete the unit standard is not included in the course cost.  Assessments are completed following the course if required. Please contact the Chamber prior to the training if you are wanting to complete the Unit standard.

Helen has extensive health and safety experience, including over 20 years as a health and safety consultant, as well as significant in-house experience within both the public and private sector.

Helen is skilled at being able to provide support to organisations at any stage of their health and safety journey – from systems audits, legislation updates and documentation right through to customised in-house training, staff inductions and on-call support.

Cancellations and Refunds

1. Cancellations must be advised in writing or by telephone at least five full working days prior to the date of the course or event.
2. All cancellations and refunds will incur a $50.00 + GST administration fee to cover the costs.
3. If we do not receive a cancellation notice within five full working days prior to the course or event commencing, or if a participant fails to show on the day, full fees will be payable.
4. Requests to transfer to a later course can be made, subject to availability and approval. If participants are able to transfer to a later course the administration fee is waived. This request must be made at least five working days prior to the original course or event.
5. A replacement participant is welcome at any stage prior to the course or event commencing at no additional cost. Please provide us with the details as soon as possible.
6. In house training requires 10 days notice otherwise full fees need to be paid.
