Health and Safety Refresher training

You may have already completed our Health and Safety Representative Training Stage 1 and 2 courses, or a similar course, in the past. This one-day programme has been designed as a refresher of key topics covered in those courses, with an emphasis on critical risk management, and accident investigation. It also includes a new section covering workplace wellness issues and the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

YOU'LL LEARN ABOUT:

Understand health and safety legislation and legal requirements
Review Representatives' wider roles: engagement and participation
Hazard and risk management with a focus on identifying critical risks
Event reporting and investigating
Workplace wellbeing - focusing on general well-being, stress, fatigue, working posture and occupational health

SO YOU CAN:

Be confident about the legislation and the new language
Be effective with your risk/hazard management process
Identify and focus on your business’s critical risks
Digging deeper into how well your organisation has communicated its commitment, expectations and approach to managing health and safety risks
Understand the primary tasks of an incident investigation
Appreciate the importance of good mental health and wellbeing at work

Helen Mason has extensive health and safety experience, including over 15 years as a health and safety consultant, as well as significant in-house experience within both the public and private sector.

Helen is skilled at being able to provide support to organisations at any stage of their health and safety journey – from systems audits, legislation updates and documentation right through to customised in-house training, staff inductions and on-call support.

Cancellations and Refunds

1. Cancellations must be advised in writing or by telephone at least five full working days prior to the date of the course or event.
2. All cancellations and refunds will incur a $30.00 + GST administration fee to cover the costs.
3. If we do not receive a cancellation notice within five full working days prior to the course or event commencing, or if a participant fails to show on the day, full fees will be payable.
4. Requests to transfer to a later course can be made, subject to availability and approval. If participants are able to transfer to a later course the administration fee is waived. This request must be made at least three working days prior to the original course or event.
5. A replacement participant is welcome at any stage prior to the course or event commencing at no additional cost. Please provide us with the details as soon as possible.
