This workshop is designed to follow on from the “Stepping up to Management – Essential Skills” scheduled for April 16 – however if the topics are relevant then this workshop is for you. 


Topics to be covered:

  1. Emotional Intelligence: Enhance self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy and interpersonal skills for better decision-making and team collaboration.
  2. Understanding Personality Types: Recognise and effectively communicate with diverse personality types within your team.
  3. Leadership Communication: Elevate your communication skills for clear, confident and impactful dialogue within your team.
  4. Art of Delegation: Master strategic delegation to match tasks with team members’ strengths and foster professional growth.
  5. Leadership Styles (Four Quadrant Leadership): Identify and refine your leadership style, developing the agility to adapt to different situations.
  6. Understanding Motivation: Learn to inspire and engage your team, fostering a culture of innovation, initiative and high performance.

Who Should Attend:

  • Individuals who have completed the "Stepping up to Management – Essential Skills" course.
  • Professionals seeking to enhance their emotional intelligence and assertive leadership skills.

Malcolm has extensive business experience having managed three businesses for other people and two of his own. His current business, Progressive Solutionz.biz, assists local companies with strategic planning, staff training, implementing safety systems and effective marketing. He is a mentor with Business Mentors NZ and an approved training provider with NZ Trade and Enterprise.

Cancellations and Refunds

1. Cancellations must be advised in writing or by telephone at least five full working days prior to the date of the course or event.
2. All cancellations and refunds will incur a $50.00 + GST administration fee to cover the costs.
3. If we do not receive a cancellation notice within five full working days prior to the course or event commencing, or if a participant fails to show on the day, full fees will be payable.
4. Requests to transfer to a later course can be made, subject to availability and approval. If participants are able to transfer to a later course the administration fee is waived. This request must be made at least five working days prior to the original course or event.
5. A replacement participant is welcome at any stage prior to the course or event commencing at no additional cost. Please provide us with the details as soon as possible.
6. In house training requires 10 days notice otherwise full fees need to be paid.
