Congratulations to Jessamy Roadley from Craighead Diocesan School and the YES Team of B-Able NZ for her inspiring success at the Young Enterprise Trust Entrepreneurs in Action Conference in Wellington from 6-8 August.

Entrepreneurs in Action (EIA) is an annual event where 78 of our most engaged National YES students come together to compete in two back-to-back business challenges over 48 hours. Throughout the three days, students are split into teams and mentored by a host company to compete in the two business challenges.

“This is a great experience for our young entrepreneurs to connect with some of our country’s most innovative business organisations.” Said Stacey Gallagher South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce YES Co-ordinator.

Entrepreneurs in Action requires the teams to work efficiently, think creatively, and act in an entrepreneurial manner.

For Jessamy this was an enlightening opportunity to see where Business and Young Enterprise as subjects can lead. Being among people who are solution focused, with a passion for creating innovative ideas creates its own energy and so much so that Jessamy’s team finished 1st and 3rd in the two challenges.  Jessamy was awarded Scholarships to Massey University to the sum of $4000.

“YES teams will continue to operate remotely through Lockdown.  They have done this before and will demonstrate yet again their real stickability and entrepreneurial flair” said Wendy Smith Chief Executive of the SC Chamber.
