The South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce has invested in an expansion of the proven South Canterbury district website www.southcanterbury.org.nz to include the ‘South Canterbury Market Place’. The Market Place is a further commitment to support post Covid-19 recovery and enables any South Canterbury business to promote their business for FREE.

“This is about working together to showcase South Canterbury and grow our businesses” said Wendy Smith.

“The South Canterbury Market Place has a dual function; it supports the buy local, support local campaign whilst also promoting our entire business community to the broader South Island, national and global markets.”

Built on an established website platform with a strong market presence and close to 8,000 visits a month this site has supported businesses and the wider community for over ten years.

This well-known website projecting a snap-shot of South Canterbury is proudly owned by SC Chamber of Commerce and is designed and built by local company Yellow Design.

The idea is to get all our businesses featured on this site, joining close to 200 existing Business Partners and an active “What’s On South Canterbury” Event Calendar that is distributed to a database of 3,000 people every week. The site is enhanced by wonderful rich imagery donated by many local photographers featuring our towns, our events and much much more. Businesses can self load their imagery and information on their business, either enhancing their existing on line presence or creating their very first on line presence too.

“If businesses need help getting their business uploaded then we will assist them” said Wendy Smith.  “This is all about collective excellence Building Better Business Together
