The South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce is flat out supporting ALL local South Canterbury businesses.
Wendy Smith CE of the Chamber said “We are here to support and provide advice for all South Canterbury businesses through this crisis. Irrespective of Chamber membership. This is about our community getting through this Covid-19 period in the best shape we can – together.”
The Regional Business Partner Programme has specific COVID-19 funding available to support South Canterbury businesses through this stressful period. As the official South Canterbury COVID-19 Response Team for businesses, the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce is the approved pathway to this funding.
“We have so far been provided with $76,000 specifically for business advice and support, most of which we have already distributed. Although we are hopeful of further funding early next week after the governments most recent announcement” said Wendy Smith.
The Chamber can also facilitate referrals to local and national business mentors for FREE.
“Our focus is to assist with funding for eligible small to medium sized qualifying businesses to access 1-1 support with professionals in the following areas:
- Health and Wellness
- Business Continuity Planning
- Finance and Cashflow Management
The scheme has now been extended to include businesses with up to a maximum of 100 employees and there is another fund that will support specific Maori businesses.” said Wendy Smith.
You can register your business for support by contacting the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce through contact details on their website www.scchamber.org.nz or by email at email@example.com.
