Join a national network

Established in 1905, the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce has a proud history of business support, representing the full spectrum of business interests both small and large, in South Canterbury. In 1992 the merger of the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, the South Canterbury branch of the Export Institute of NZ Inc. and the South Canterbury Manufacturers Association further strengthened provision.

 Operating with two main goals:

  • to help local businesses achieve success
  • to ensure our members operate in a business friendly environment.

We are a non-political, not for-profit membership organisation with over 500 members. We are the recognised and respected business services organisation for South Canterbury and the voice of the local business community.

With strong local, national and international affiliations we ensure there are many opportunities to create better business outcomes, creating business connections, accessing expertise and saving on business expenses.  We are an affiliated member of the New Zealand Chambers of Commerce Incorporated (NZCCI) which is the national body representing 30 Chambers of New Zealand and approximately 22,000 businesses.

Globally the Chambers of Commerce create “a voice” for business.

Businesses all around the globe access the expertise and services of Chambers of Commerce.
